How to Use

This application offers you a simple and easy way to feng shui your home or any space you would like.  Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art and science that brings balance and harmony to living spaces.   When your living space is in balance, you will be more balanced in all areas of your life.

The heart of Feng Shui is the Bagua Map, which is based upon the I-Ching.  The Bagua Map is superimposed on a floor plan, room, desk, vision board, or any other space, to show you where the nine areas of your life are located in that space.

The Bagua Map used in this app is based upon the Black Hat or BTB Feng Shui method and other westernized versions that are most widely used in our modern world.   Accordingly, the Bagua Map is aligned per the front door of the home, also known as the Primary Mouth of Chi.  No compass is necessary for this Feng Shui application.

How to Use

1.The Bagua Map can be viewed in Portrait or Landscape mode depending on the general shape of the space you want to feng shui.  Align the main front door of your house with the bottom of the Bagua Map screen where it says “front entrance.”

Note: Even if you don’t use your front door to enter your home, you will still use the front door for purposes of applying the Bagua Map.

If your front door is centered on your house, you will be walking in the Career & Life Purpose square.   If the door is off-centered to the left, then you will enter through the Wisdom & Self-Awareness section.  If the door is off-centered to the right, then you will enter through the Helpful People & Travel section.  From there, the remaining areas of your house will fall on the map accordingly.    For example, the farthest, left corner from the front door will be your Wealth & Prosperity section, and so forth.  Include everything under roof, including garages and closets.  For multi-story homes, the Bagua Map will be the same for every floor.

Note: You may also import a picture or sketch of your floor plan, room, etc. from your camera photos and superimpose the Bagua Map onto it for a bird’s eye view.

Note: To feng shui an individual room, you will align the Bagua Map with the door entering the room with the “front entrance”.   For example, the farthest, left corner of the room from the door will be the Wealth section.

Note: To feng shui a desk, where you are sitting is equivalent to the “front door,” which in most cases will be centered at the Career & Life Purpose section.  For example, the farthest, left corner of your desk is the Wealth section.

2.  Once you have properly aligned the Bagua Map to your space, notice where each room lies on the map.  Keep in mind that some rooms and walls may intersect over more than one section of the map.  Notice which areas of your life need enhancing and work with that area of the house first.  It is okay if the theme of a room doesn’t match up with the room’s function.  For example, your Love & Relationship section may be in your garage.  That’s okay.  You will still want to apply the remedies and enhancements accordingly.

Note:  Most floor plans are not perfect squares, rectangles, or circles, which creates “missing corners” in Feng Shui.  If you have any missing corners in your space, notice where they fall on the Bagua Map and pay particular attention to remedying those areas.   For example, you can place shrub, landscaping, fountain, chimes, etc. on the outside of your home to ‘fill in’ the missing corner.   On the inside wall, place a mirror to in effect extend the wall outward.

3.  Simply click on each square of the Bagua Map to get more information on that section of your house, including the characteristics, remedies, and enhancements.
